UROLOGÍA PEDIÁTRICA
La Urología Pediátrica es una especialidad que se dedica al diagnóstico y tratamiento de las enfermedades que involucran a los riñones, vías urinarias, y genitales en niños, desde el período prenatal hasta la adolescencia. La gran mayoría de las patologías que se tratan en esta Unidad son de origen congénito.
Se atienden pacientes pequeños con insuficiencia renal crónica y aquellos que tienen alteraciones de la función de la vejiga, como mielomeningocele (un tipo de espina bífida) y otros trastornos que afectan la continencia urinaria y fecal.
Otro eje fundamental de nuestro centro es la evaluación y manejo de situaciones de menor complejidad y de muy alta frecuencia en la población infantil, como son la fimosis, la criptorquidia y la hidrocele.
Disponemos de una infraestructura moderna de alto estándar, tanto en hospitalización como en pabellones quirúrgicos, para asegurar la mejor atención y seguridad de los pacientes.
